Fleece color palet for 2009 season

C V M color patterns vary widely, especially in the darkness of the body wool. Unlike many sheep, the CVM does not fade with age, but rather gets darker during the first year. With the wide variety of colors including light to dark grey, light to dark brown, black, white, and spotted a breed description has been difficult. Our fleeces usually have a staple length of 3 to 5 inches, 18 to 26 micron diameter, very soft, with a well defined crimp. We select our breeding animals to produce soft wool with exceptional spinning qualities. All fleeces are carefully skirted and come from covered lambs. Cost is $15 a pound unless otherwise noted.
